Orphanage Project

Like other countries South of Sahara desert,Tanzania is also deeply affected by the epidemics of both poverty and HIV. Number of Orphans and street Kids is tremendously increasingly in big cities like Arusha. Efforts have been made by various local organizations and government to protect these children by offering much-needed education as well as skill-development training.

Volunteers help the children to build within themselves a self confidence to face the future and also organizing games, drawing classes, singing lessons, and even painting sessions. In this project, volunteers can organize any creative, extracurricular activities that the children may enjoy and love doing.
This Tanzanian-based Organization "Focus in Africa" provides volunteer opportunity to work proactively in the orphanage's community and share their love, passion, individual skills, and efforts for the children.

The "Focus in Africa" is working with "Goodhope Orphanage center www.goodhopeorphanage.org" located about 6km from the center of the city of Arusha and also works with the Peace Matunda orphanage about 22km from the city, at the foot of the mount meru both of them offers the authentic view and experience of Tanzanian life.

HIV/AIDS Project

HIV/AIDS has been growing rapidly hence threatening any effort for the developement within tanzanian themselves and as a nation,This pandemic deases as gone to the top of other killer deases in recently years and led to many orphans and street kids,volunteers are need to help create awareness which will lead to prevention of further spread of this epidemic,also help in doing Counseling which will give hope to the victims,the Project generally aim at prevent the transmission of HIV/AIDS and provide support to the affected.
We are working with UFATA Which is women against HIV/AIDS,you will be visiting families which have affected by HIV/AIDS and speak to victims aiming at doing counseling and give hope to the remaining mambers of the family,UFATA is unlike other HIV/AIDS prevention organization which operate here in Tanzanian most of them located in large building and guarded by armed security and symbolises all kinds richness while majority of victim are suffering in street no one to care,UfATA brings you to the other side of the coin where you come `face to face" with the victims who have no one to care simply because they are not known to any one who is working in the system of governent to help the HIV/AID Victim,as a result if you will not come with us and help with UFATA then such victims always die on sufferings and miseries.

Women Project

Since the Maasai are among the few traditionalists societies left Africa,It`s a very good experience to work and to be a part of this community which is very proud of their culture,We have developed several Maasai women project since this tribe does`t offer much for the modern women right, Maasai women will gladly to wok with you in their project of making arts and handcraft-related items which they sold to the tourists in Arusha town and generate their personal income. As a volunteer you will help to create a sort of awareness in the forgotten Maasai women and help in applying any new ways of developing the products produced by them,if your an artist you will advise accordingly the best quality and new items which you will see it will be marketable,and provides some marketing strategies,innovative and constructive ideas are often welcomed and encouraged especially those using naturally-existing, raw materials such as stones, wood and leather .
