| Focus in Africa is an
organization dedicated to providing information on voluntary work programs in Arusha,
Tanzania.
We organize a wide range of Volunteer and Internship programs in Tanzania. Our
organization works at the grassroots level, which enables Volunteers and
Interns to effectively empower our communities. We encourage our International
volunteers to gain insight into the geographies on which our culture is built
by offering a wide range of Safaris. We offer exciting experiences to Mount Kilimanjaro, Serengeti Plains, Selous Game Reserve,
Olduvai Gorge, Ngorongoro Crater, Tarangire
National Park and Zanzibar.

Placements
Some of our placements we offer in Tanzania
include Volunteering at Orphanages and Street Children Programs,
HIV/AIDS Education and Counseling, Teaching in local Schools, providing
active assistance in Health Care Institutions, and promoting
Environmental Conservation.
How our programs work
Volunteers and Interns placed in our programs work alongside local community Staff and Professionals.
Participants stay with respectable
host families who are involved in the projects.
Daily activities include; shadowing, observing and assist
in local professionals in their work, and optionally providing new ideas and methods to enrich our programs.
Our Internship programs provide hands
on experience with our Project Staff and Directors.
Interns usually involve themselves in building a report paper in a particular field of interest.
The Project Director will usually supervise the Intern and provide necessary information to improve his/her research.
People with ages from 16 to 60 and of any Religion, Race or Nationality are welcome to volunteer.
No professional qualifications are required for these programs-
(with the exception of our Health Care program). Period of participation is for short and medium term basis.
Focus in Africa’s goals
Our work promotes International Cooperation,
Friendship, Cross-cultural Exposure and Cultural Exchange. Your active
participation breaks new grounds for Sustainable Socio-Economic
Development through voluntary work placements. We therefore welcome all
of you to participate in our cultural exchange programs.
